Overview

The Blackfin-based Carrier Module is a specialized computing platform designed to run µCLinux as operating system. The module is equipped with an FPGA to provide digital interfacing and co-processing to the main processor. Two image sensor modules provides detection of the fibre optic sensing, whilst two SFP modules provide a robust high throughput interface to the main processing computer placed inside a control room.
